The Institute, in conjunction with the Kenya Forest Research Institute (KEFRI), planted over 1,000 trees

The Institute, in conjunction with the Kenya Forest Research Institute (KEFRI), planted over 1,000 trees in Ng'arwa Rironi Primary School and Lake Ol'Bolossat in Nyandarua County on 16th June, 2023 as part of mitigating the climate change effects.

Besides the Institute’s and KEFRI’s staff, the event was attended by, among others, Scholastica Ruto, the Assistant County Commissioner, Wanjohi Sub-County of Nyandarua County, Dr. Eston Mutitu, Regional Director, Central Highlands Ecoregion Research Programme (CHERP), KEFRI, parents, teachers and pupils of Ng'arwa Rironi Primary School and members of the Lake Ol'Bolossat Community Conservation Group (LOCCOG).
