Mrs.  Miano and Dr. Mukhwana met heads of Semi-Autonomous Government Agencies (SAGAs) under the State Department of Industry The CS and PS tasked the heads to ensure their workplans incorporate the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA) to facilitate faster industrialization in the country. The Ministry is expected to play a pivotal role in driving the country’s economy forward with a targeted contribution of 15 per cent to the gross domestic product (GDP) by 2027 from the current from 7.6 per cent, solely from the manufacturing sector.
