Hon. Lee Kinyanjui, the Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Investments, Trade and Industry (MITI) held a constructive engagement with officers from the Kenya Industrial Property Institute (KIPI) led by Chairman Allan Kosgey and Managing Director John Onyango.

The meeting underscored the importance of protecting intellectual property rights and promoting creativity as a means of promoting H.E. the President's Bottom-Up Economic Agenda (BETA). During the meeting, which was held at the Cabinet Secretary’s NSSF Building office, the Chairman expressed his gratitude to CS Kinyanjui, Principal Secretary Dr. Juma Mukhwana and the entire Ministry team for the continued encouragement and support given to the Institute.

The Government seeks to attain the aspirations of BETA through five key pillars, which are agricultural transformation, a thriving micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) economy, housing and settlement, healthcare, and the digital superhighway and creative economy. The plan is part of the country’s long-term economic development blueprint, Vision 2030, and its implementation is outlined in the Fourth Medium Term Plan (MTP IV) for 2023-2027.
